    My first sport shot experience

Thursday, April 24, 2008, 11:01 PM EST [General]

I have been waiting for this day for a long time.  Bowling on a sport shot is so much different then bowling on a house shot.  You gotta be really accurate and keep your ball speed consistent.  Bowled on a 37 foot sport condition tonight.  I shot 136-154-147-189.  I guess a 156 average is not so bad the first time on this.  It was an experience and hopefully next week I can bowl a little better on it.  Bye for now.

    Keeping the 600's rolling

Friday, April 18, 2008, 10:42 PM EST [General]

Today I bowled pretty well I got a 608 series that contained a 218-214-176.  My first 2 games I pretty much cruised through them with only 1 open in the 2 games which was because of a split.  I started with the Fury Pearl and switched to the Twisted Fury because the back ends were flying more.  Game 3 seems to be baffling me lately.  I don't seem to have the right match up with my ball to the dryer lane.  Hopefully, I'll be resoliving that soon.  Best part about tonight was I made 100 percent of my non split spares.  Woo hoo!!!

Staying strong late in the season

Friday, April 11, 2008, 11:37 PM EST [General]

Now with only 3 weeks left to go in to the season is really the time to step it up.  The last 3 weeks I have done that in a big way.  I got 629, 643 and now 655.  I just came out firing tonight started with a turkey 2 spares and struck out the game with a 266.  Game 2, the lanes changed a bit, but made some adjustments and rolled a 216.  Game 3, I got some bad breaks left 3 solid 10 pins in the game, and finished with a disappointing 173.  At least I finished strong with strike spare strike.  I just didn't have the right ball for game 3.  I need a ball that works well on dry and doesn't hook a whole lot.  All and all and awesome week and looking forward to getting over 199 next week for average.  Take care and good bowling.

Late hambone sures up 643 series!!!

Friday, April 4, 2008, 11:03 PM EST [General]

What a great night of bowling tonight.  I started out with a strategy I normally don't do.  I used the Twisted Fury on the left lane and the Fury Pearl on the right lane.  The reason for that was there was much more backend on the left then the right to start.  I got a whopping 235 in game 1.  In game 2, right lane started to break down a little started to go high, so I decided to use the same ball on both lanes.  Game 2, I finished with a 204.  Game 3, I got in a little trouble missing the 6/10 and 3/10 in the 6th and 8th frames.  I finished with 4 in a row to pull out another 204 and a 643 series.  Struck 23 times tonight only missed 3 spares.  It also brought my average up to 198.

    2 Hambones Tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, March 28, 2008, 11:06 PM EST [General]

Today was a really awesome night of bowling. I shot 198-214-217 for a 629 series.  I only had 3 opens all night.  I missed a 1-2, a 6-7 split and 3-10 split.  Best part about tonight was that when I missed the 3-10 in the 3rd game, I finished the game with 5 solid strikes in a row for the 217.  I was very proud of that.  I stayed mentally tough and it showed.  Hopefully,  I can build on this performance tonight.
