    Sweet Night of Bowling 724!!!

Friday, June 13, 2008, 12:05 AM EST [General]

Tonight, I got my 2nd highest series on the sport shot conditions, and that was a 724.  I got 167-208-192-157.  Game 1 took me a little time to get the lanes figured out.  Then I got my Twisted Fury rolling and bowled game 2 and most of game 3 with it.  Ball started to roll out, so I switched to the Avalanche Pearl and that got me back on track in game 3.  I just didn't execute as well in game 4 but still worked out a 157.  Overall was a great night and was happy with that.

    Have had better nights

Thursday, June 5, 2008, 10:44 PM EST [General]

Today was not one of my stellar night, but there was a positive thing that happened tonightt.  In this league we bowl a match play format.  I was bowling against one of the best bowlers in the area Neil Croinex.  I was tied with him going in to the 10th frame we both threw the first stirke but he threw the 2nd and I left the 2-4-5.  I just thought it was a moral victory staying in a match with such a great bowler.  My scores were 147-190-168-134.  My average dropped a point but that's ok.  I'll come back next week.

    Continuing to Improve

Thursday, May 29, 2008, 10:41 PM EST [General]

Tonight was another good night of bowling as I continue to improve.  After a slow start, I shot very well.  I got 142-205-178-186.  I won all 4 of my match play games which I was very happy with.  The 3rd game was the game I was most proud of because I had to fight from behind.  I fell down about 30 pins early but no worries.  I just chipped away and kept myself in reaching distance.  Once my opponent made a mistake, I was there to capitalize.  I finally got the lead in Frame 8 and never looked back winning by 16 pins.  Point is never give up keep fighting.  Missy Bellinder is great at that as she showed on tv in the us open against Kelly Kulick.  Take care all.

    Tonight's Bowling

Thursday, May 22, 2008, 10:53 PM EST [General]

Well, tonight they changed the oil pattern to a longer pattern.  Game 1, I struggled trying to find a decent line to the pocket and ended up with a 156.  I tried the twisted fury and fury pearl just didn't workout playing inside.  Game 2, I tried the Avalanche Pearl and rolled it down the 8 board.  That worked better as I got 172.  Game 3, I was able to fine tune the line a little better to get a 188, and finally I got a 168 in game 4 as lanes opened a little more.  Hopefully, I do better next week.  Bye for now.
